Thank you to everyone who battled the conditions and made it out to Lake Lanier to celebrate International Surfing Day with us! We have an awesome, diverse community of surfers, board riders, and water lovers and it is amazing to share our passions together.
And today we encourage you to support the Surfrider Foundation, the Surfrider Foundation Georgia, and become a member to help protect what we all love — our oceans and waterways!
Head over to www.surfrider.org/isd to check out all the International Surfing Day content and to donate!

Yesterday was World Ocean Day and if you didn’t see it, go check out Surfline’s special collection of features about what oceans give us and what they need from us in return with an especially fascinating conversation with Martin Daly of Indies Trader Marine Adventures. You can see them all at surfline.com/tag/world-oceans-day.
The ocean is our inspiration. We ride waves in lakes, rivers, and pools, but the ocean is irreplaceable. It is the origin of surfing.
It’s a great time to reflect on our impact on the ocean and our appreciation of it, along with all of our natural resources. And go support Surfrider Foundation if you want to take action to protect our oceans.
